Poem of Two Stars: The Proud Star and the Humble Star
Light that is borrowed will always fade; light that is given becomes dawn.
The proud star rises high in the midnight sky, boasting of a brilliance it never earned.
Its crown is woven from arrogance, its shine steeped in deceit and violence. The brighter it appears, the emptier it becomes; the higher it climbs, the faster it falls, for it forgets that light was never its own.
The humble star keeps silent through the deepest night. It does not grasp or steal; it simply offers its radiance to the world.
It flickers from the lowest place yet illumines the highest heaven. It descends and is lifted up; it gives itself and receives glory. It does not borrow light—it is light itself.
One falls because of pride, the other abides forever in humility. Two stars share the same sky, yet one belongs to the darkness while the other carries the dawn.
